Tour Diaries Pt I
Writing this from Burlington, NJ where I’m getting the Thunderhorse an oil change in between shows. What a crazy first couple of shows and getting our first tour legs. En route to Fayetteville with our fellow tourmates Enders Game the trailer suffered a tire blowout (yikes!) but they got everything up and back running in time for our show at The Rock Shop in Fayetteville, NC. Small crowd, but we always like a small enthusiastic crowd instead of a larger, apathetic one. 😉 Back to Atlanta for a couple of days, where Enders Game performed at The Highlander on Saturday and I was invited to dance “With This Ring” with them. Then back up 85 and 95 for an uneventful (read: good) drive up to Baltimore. At the hotel Enders Game’s truck got broken into (yikes #2!) and Dave’s GPS stolen… but thankfully all 9 of us were ok. Got the glass replaced, spent a day in the Inner Harbor, and to the Sidebar where we made a few new fans (always awesome 🙂 Which brings us to today, where we hit Philly up for the first time — can’t wait! Despite the crazy events of the past few days, I’m hugely enjoying the company of everyone, and very thankful I’ve got my manager and dear friend Chris Farmer of Strange One Records out on the road with me as Inviolate does this for the first time. Also thankful for Robert Hannon and Shiloh Bloodworth for helping me keep everything together onstage. Let’s hope the tronix cables hold up for the rest of the tour. — K
